Product Description Right out of the package, clip a YakclipTM onto your kayak cockpit. Clip in your paddle, get in, and you're ready to go. You can clip the YakclipTM anywhere. Placing the YakclipTM in front when getting in and out of your kayak will leave both hands free to stabilize your entry or exit. Use the YakclipTM to hold your paddle while you have a drink. Move the YakclipTM with your paddle out of the way to the side of the cockpit to reel in that big fish!

Did not work as advertised August 31, 2010 Mike Peeb (New Jersey) First I would like to say that the shipping on this product was very fast and not very expensive. The clip is of good quility it is made of strong yet pliable plastic and the clip holds tight, but not so tight you can't get your paddle out. The problem for me was that it did not clip to my Old Town Loon 100 very well at all. It was very loose and I worried the clip and the paddle would fall off. I decided it was useless as is so I cut away the paddle clip, drilled to small holse, and bolted it to the side of my kayak, works great now. If you aren't afraid to customize it if it doesn't fit on your kayak then it's a good buy.
clip August 3, 2010 K. Knowles (Kentucky) I don't like this clip. It is small and flimsy and hard to use. I finally took it off my boat and threw it away.
This would be great if ir didn't interfere with my paddle skirt July 18, 2010 N8andM (Minneapolis, MN United States) I bought this at the same time as my half paddle skirt and really didn't put too much thought into it. Well, they don't really work together. Also if you are practicing wet exits or rescue techniques, it could be a potential hazard- either injuring you or hindering your wet exit. It could snag your PFD or your clothing. So now I think I will return it or re-sell it.
easy, quick fix July 1, 2010 duncbe These are so easy to use, they simply clip onto the lip of the kayak. I use them not only for holding the paddles, but for clipping a stopwatch and other items onto as well. I like the way you can easily slide it around the lip to get it out of the way when you are paddling, but can bring it forward when you need it. Having 2 provides a little more stability when getting in and out of the kayak.
EXCELLENT FISHING AID! June 1, 2010 WYBOOJER (BEARCATJER) I recently bought a 10 foot sit in kayak to use on a lake i live on , primarily for fishing.I soon discovered i needed some way to stow the paddle while I was casting as I moved around the lake. The Yakclip fits the bill for what I need perfectly! I also added a paddle leash "just in case" but the yakclip is made of very strong plastic and so far has performed admirably. I do wonder how long it will take for the plastic to loosen up and not hold the paddle so well, but this is a first quality product and if/when it wears out i will promptly buy another! And...the price is right!.
