 Great water shoe for pool exercise September 6, 2010

I purchased these water shoes specifically for jogging in my gym's pool and they have not let me down. And I can finally walk around the slippery pool area without fear of falling. The shoes run a little big, but that does not inhibit their performance and hasn't caused any foot problems. The velcro tab is a great feature, making it especially easy to take the shoes off when they are wet - a problem with other shoes that you have to wrestle with just to remove. The shoes also dry quickly.

In the past, I have normally had to purchase one pair (or more) of water shoes every year. I spend a lot of time on and in the water. This is the first time I ever tried the Aquatik brand, and could not be more pleased. Aside from being almost as comfortable as slippers, these shoes are extremely durable. The manufacturer has achieved the best balance I have experienced thus far between flexibility and sturdiness. If you are "between" sizes, I would suggest following the manufacturer's advice and choosing the smaller. (This is what I did and the water shoes fit perfectly.) I can offer no comment about ordering a FULL SIZE smaller, simply because I didn't have to do it.
I really believe that I will be able to use these shoes longer than any others I have purchased in the past. At the price (I purchased mine on sale at Amazon), I really don't think you can go wrong.

Let me start by saying that these shoes SUCK. They are awful. Very cheaply made. I grew up on a lake and have owned several pairs of water shoes (typically buy cheap ones at walmart or a local sporting good store). I was getting ready to leave for Mexico on vacation and read that the resort we were staying at had some large rocks in the water so I wanted to wear some water shoes. I couldnt find any of my older pairs so I looked around town. Since it was towards the end of August most places were out. I decided to put my prime membership to work and buy a pair with 2 day shipping. The shoes seemed OK when I got them so I threw away all the packaging. By day 2 there was a large hole in the side. Day 3 another hole in the toe. Day 4 the velcro (spelling?) was shot on the left shoe and wouldnt stay closed. Day 5 the coverings on the sole inserts were coming off exposing a sticky glue-like side. And day 6 I threw the pieces of garbage in the trash. I was in Mexico for 8 days and they couldnt even last long enough to make it through the trip. DO NOT BUY THESE!!!!
Im a 25 year old male from Michigan and did not use these for running or sporting activities. I simply used them for what water shoes are intended to be used for - and that is protecting your feet in the water. There was not excessive use (maybe 5 hours for 5-6 days each) and it was the correct size for my foot. I wear a size 9 shoe so I bought the 8 and it fit well.
I hope this helps someone else. I saw several shoes in this price range and wish I would have tried one of the others.

I can highly recommend the shoe as it is very easy to get on and off because of the velcro flap & that was important to me. They are very comfortable but size down, and they seem to be very durable. Nice styling which is a plus.

Bought these as a gift & the gentleman who received them just loves them...comfortable, light weight yet durable...do purchase one size smaller as is suggested because they do run large....off to the lake!
