make sure you do the bubble test as directed March 11, 2010 Christopher C. Bailey I am most disappointed that I will not have this item for my trip to Hawaii. I received the unit today and followed the instruction on conducting a bubble test. It did not pass the bubble test as directed in the user's guide. A steady stream of bubbles came from on of the lower seams.
Now I am out of luck for our trip. Undoubtedly I will have to pay a lot more now as it is too close to us leaving for the trip.
Broke quickly January 15, 2010 yd I had this for just a week when one of the fasteners broke. Even before that, it was very difficult to close.
Dry as a bone and just the right size December 15, 2009 Mark Kitaoka (Pacifica, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this to carry my essentials while snorkeling in the Gulf of Mexico. The size is large enough to hold my Blacbberry Curve, a pack of smokes, room key and some money without any stuffing. It works very well. The belt that comes with the bag does NOT have attachment points other than the small clip which is included. I recommend lacing the strop through the clip and then placing the belt just under the yellow plastic lip and then around your waist. In high underwater currents, it just keeps it more secure. I highly recommend this little bag.
great waistpack December 11, 2009 J. Rainey (NYC) This item work very well for my travels. I wore it as a waist bag in and out of the water, climbing waterfalls, hiking, and off roading. It kept all items dry. It is very light weight and was more spacious than expected. The only tricky part is maneuvering the knobs to open and close the bag. The knobs were very tight and difficult to turn, especially if you are slightly arthritic or are very cold from long periods of time in the water.
Overall, I recommend this item. And I love the attachment that makes it easy to unhook and throw into your satchel.
Does the job - Keeps stuff dry December 7, 2009 averagepunter (Massachusetts) This pouch did a great job keeping cash, credit cards and passports dry while snorkelling/swimming for several hours in the caribbean over the course of a week. Was a little tight for the passports though. The strap could be better designed - its just a basic strap that hooks thought the D-ring shown in the picture. This unfortunately means it does not feel as secure as one might like. The upside is that the strap can be worn in a variety of different ways so you gain some flexibity with the simplicity of the strap attachment. Overall, for the price, I am very satisfied with this Dry Pack.
